Benvenuti!
Love Somero.
Somero is the town we live in. (The correct pronounciation requires to stress the first “o”). It is located in quite a flat area of Finland and it is a rural town, surrounded by fields of corn and huge forests. The latitude of Somero allows cultivating food grain, some fruits and vegetables: in my first shot a golden field of rapeseed.
(In the WHERE page of my blog you can find a map with the location of Somero).
In this post, though, we will not talk about agriculture; I would like to share this series of funny posters the municipality scattered around town last spring…
Both posters are written in a local dialect but have slightly different meanings; one means: “stay calm”, while the other sounds rather: “be good”.
Finally, in the banner the official emblem of Somero: a burning trunk.
And of course the official homepage of Somero, for you to browse: www.somero.fi/in-english/home/
Everyone’s Welcome!
