Tra Italia e Finlandia

Stoccolma e’ una citta’ regale,  anzi,  vorrei dire:  imperiale.  Si percepisce l’allure di regalita’ sin dal primo approdo al porto.

In questa seconda foto:  veduta di Gamla Stan,  la citta’ vecchia,  risalente al 1252,  con stradite strette e acciottolate,  con antiche chiese e musei e soprattutto col Palazzo Reale.

Guardando verso destra,  oltre i magazzini del porto,  la citta’ nuova.

Dritto di fronte a noi,  il parco di Skansen,  che e’ parco divertimenti,  ma anche giardino zoologico e soprattutto museo etnografico all’aperto,  con circa 150 edifici storici trasportati qui da ogni parte della Svezia.  Qui vicino si trova anche il Museo dedicato agli ABBA.

A Skansen e’ sempre l’ora del divertimento…

Stockholm,  from the Harbour.

Stockholm is a regal city—or rather,  I’d say imperial.  You can sense its regal allure from the moment you first arrive at the port.

In my second photo:  view of Gamla Stan,  the old town,  dating back to 1252,  with narrow,  cobbled streets,  ancient churches and museums and above all the Royal Palace.

Looking to the right,  beyond the port warehouses,  the new city.

Straight in front of us is Skansen,  which is an amusement park,  a zoo,  and,  most importantly,  an open-air ethnographic museum,  with around 150 historical buildings transported here from all over Sweden.  The ABBA Museum is also nearby.

At Skansen it’s always time for fun…
