Mi chiamo Luisella, sono nata e sempre vissuta in Italia. Dopo l’universita’ ed una breve parentesi nell’insegnamento, ho lavorato per ventiquattro anni presso l’Aeroporto Valerio Catullo di Verona-Villafranca, come personale di terra.
Dal 1993 sono legata a Risto, finlandese di Somero. Da allora ho iniziato a frequentare la Finlandia. Ora sono casalinga a tempo pieno e coltivo molte passioni, fra cui la bicicletta, le passeggiate, lo sci di fondo, la fotografia, la cucina, la lettura. Non ultimi il giardinaggio e l’orto. Per la precisione, mi definisco una “casalinga volante”, perche’ vivo tra Italia e Finlandia e mi sposto tra i due Paesi molto sovente, un po’ come una pendolare. 🙂
Questo blog vuole essere soprattutto fotografico; non ha velleita’ divulgative, ne’ tantomeno scientifiche, benche’ contenga alcune didascalie. Spero sia utile a chi sta cercando informazioni sulla Finlandia, che certo non trovera’ nelle guide turistiche, ma anche a chi vuol vedere nuovi aspetti della nostra Italia, perche’ i posti non si finisce mai di scoprirli. Vivendo in campagna e a contatto con la natura, postero’contenuti per lo piu’ di carattere naturalistico, perche’ questo e’ cio’ che mi piace e perche’ la Natura e’ un elemento preponderante nella vita e cultura dei finlandesi. Inoltre, intendo illustrare lo stile di vita Finlandese, un po’ per volta in ogni post, rispondendo alle tipiche domande che mi sono sentita rivolgere dagli amici Italiani in tutti questi anni. Le fotografie sono tutte rigorosamente mie e sono tutte originali; quelle rielaborate le evidenzio con una cornice.
Questo lavoro e’ dedicato ai miei genitori, che avendomi regalata la prima macchina fotografica a dodici anni, hanno sempre incoraggiato il mio interesse per questo hobby. I ringraziamenti vanno di cuore a mio marito Risto, per il suo prezioso aiuto e per il suo costante sostegno e incoraggiamento.
Infine un ringraziamento informale a tutti coloro che mi hanno fornito informazioni, materiale per i post, conoscenza, suggerimenti, opinioni o che mi hanno semplicemente accompagnata nelle mie passeggiate fotografiche. My name is Luisella and I am Italian. Nowadays I am a full-time housewife, but in the past, after university and some teaching, I worked at Verona airport as ground staff. Actually, nowadays I call myself a “flying housewife”, because I live between Italy and Finland moving back and forth very often, as a commuter. 🙂
I am married with Risto, who is Finnish and we live in the countryside. We like open air sports, as well as gardening and keeping a vegetable garden. Among my interests: cross-country skiing, reading, cooking, photographing.
The aim of this blog is to provide information about both countries through my own experience and my own photos. The main language will be Italian, but I will insert texts in English too, hoping that my Finnish and international friends can follow me better.
The inspiration for this blog is mostly nature and wildlife, although I will enjoy talking about food, trips and curiosities as well. Nature has an important influence upon Finnish life and culture. Life is so different between Italy and Finland and there are a lot of clues to discuss, a lot of questions I have been asked through the years that I will answer page after page. I intend to describe the Finnish way of life with details that one cannot easily find in tourist guidebooks.

I am happy that my parents encouraged me to the hobby of photography and to them this work is dedicated. My husband Risto is essential to this work too, for his constant help and support and I thank him for every moment.
Finally, I would like to thank all the people who have given me their knowledge, information, suggestions, opinions, to make this blog better; or simply those who have been with me in my photo-safaris. From all of them I have learnt something. In particular: friends, acquaintances and my kind Finnish lady-neighbours.
