Salvataggio andato a buon fine!
Prompt Rescue.
As I told in a former post, (see: “Cibo d’emergenza“), in Finland in winter it is very common to see birds’ feeders in people’s gardens. I would like to point out that it is also important where the feeders are located: if they are too close to the house windows, it may happen that birds strike the window panes when flying, if they get blinded for some reason. On the other hand, it may happen anyway…that’s nature.
It happened in our garden for instance a few winters ago when my old friend Antonella and her husband Graziano were in Finland with us. As she heard the birdstrike, Antonella rushed out to see what had happened, whereas I grasped my camera and portrayed her and the bird: nice to watch these photos now, after a few years!
The bird was a small Blue tit, who hit her lovely blue head. Luckily it was not too serious and the little bird flew away soon after some warmig up. Antonella’s prompt rescue was successful!
This post is entirely dedicated to my friend Antonella: we have been friends since we were five.

Thank you, Jesh. That winter snow came in mid-January; in that moment, at Christmas time, there was not so much yet. Have a nice week you too!
