Il Carnevale, si sa, non e’ solo festa ma anche satira; le sfilate di carri allegorici, con i loro enormi testoni semoventi sono spesso questo. La satira, l’ironia e il pungente sarcasmo colgono l’occasione di prendere pubblicamente in giro tutto e tutti prima di deporre le armi per la Quaresima. Almeno, questa era l’idea, storicamente. Fra gli argomenti di cruda attualita’ in sfilata al carnevale veronese di quest’anno, le scaramucce fra i due arcifamosi leaders Donald e Kim: il carro era molto ben fatto e ve lo propongo…
Il messaggio e’ chiaro: auguriamoci che i due trovino un accordo e facciano dormire al mondo intero sonni tranquilli, altrimenti…aagh!!

As we all know, Carnival is not only party time, but also an opportunity to mock the way of the world. Satire, sarcasm, irony are often the real meaning of those big parade floats, with their huge moving heads: carnival is a moment of free jokingly imitation before calming down for Lent. So it has been, through the history.
This year at the carnival parade in Verona one of the best looking floats was this one, with the heads of Mr Trump and Mr Kim threateningly revolving. Terrific! The message is clear: let’s hope the two settle their contrasts, otherwise… Aagh!
