Tra Italia e Finlandia

Cari lettori,  qualche post fa v avevo parlato di un servizio automatizzato di consegna della spesa a domicilio effettuato da un piccolo robot:  https://traitaliaefinlandia.com/?s=robottino

Ebbene,  sembra proprio che gli amministratori finlandesi si siano dati all’automazione dei servizi su larga scala.

Sul giornale di Somero infatti,  a inizio aprile,  e’ apparsa questa notizia:   i prelievi di sangue nel locale laboratorio analisi verranno prossimamente effettuali da un robot!

Caspita,  ci siamo detti io e Risto e abbiamo letto con attenzione l’articolo che vedete nella foto.   L’articolo riporta con molti particolari in che modo si svolge il prelievo:  bisogna semplicemente inserire la mano in un’apposita fessura dell’automa e scansionando la prescrizione del medico,  la macchina provvede ad eseguire.   Questo robot ha anche un nome:  Vebotti,  che e’ l’unione delle parole veri (=sangue) e botti (=bot).

A dire la verita’ eravamo un po’ perplessi,  perche’ ci chiedevamo come facesse la macchina ad individuare la vena con precisione,  ma si sa la tecnologia fa passi da gigante…e chissa’ quanti altri lettori del giornale di Somero si sono fatti le stesse domande.   Abbiamo comunque risolto di rimanere in attesa di riscontro dai primi pazienti che si fossero sottoposti al prelievo.

Invece,  ve la faccio breve:  nell’edizione successiva del giornale,  che e’ bisettimanale,  si e’ scoperto che era…un Pesce d’Aprile!  😉

Another Robot.

Well,  it seems that Finnish administrators have turned to large-scale automation of services. 

At the beginning of April,  the following news appeared in Somero’s newspaper:   in the local medical centre blood sampling will soon be carried out by a robot!

Wow,  Risto and I said to each other and carefully read the article you see in the above photo.

The article reports in great detail how the sampling is carried out:  you simply have to insert your hand into a special slot in the automaton and by scanning the doctor’s prescription,  the machine will carry out the procedure.  This robot also has a name:  Vebotti,  which is the union of the words veri (=blood) and botti (=bot).

To tell the truth,  we were a little perplexed,  because we wondered how the machine could locate blood vessels so precisely,  but technology is making great strides… and who knows how many other readers of Somero’s newspaper have asked themselves the same questions.  However,  we decided to wait for feedback from the first patients who underwent the blood test.

Instead… I’ll cut it short:  in the following edition of the newspaper,  which is biweekly,  it was discovered that the whole business was… an April Fool’s joke!   😉
