Anche l’equitazione e’ parecchio praticata in Finlandia:  esistono maneggi in molte cittadine e perfino nei market piu’ grandi e’ in vendita l’equipaggiamento per praticare questo sport.

La Federazione Equestre Finlandese e’ stata fondata nel 1920 ed e’ parte della FEI (Fédération Equestre International) dal 1923.  Nel Paese si contano attualmente 325 scuole di equitazione e circa 170.000 persone la praticano come hobby,  piazzandola fra i 10 sport piu’ praticati.  Vi sono annualmente 120 gare a livello nazionale e 330 regionali,  fra cui la piu’ famosa e’ la Helsinki International Horse Show che si tiene in ottobre.  Il giro d’affari dell’equitazione,  che da’ lavoro a 15.000 persone,  ammonta a 830 milioni di euro ogni anno.

Horse riding is also widely practiced in Finland:  there are riding stables in many towns and even the largest markets sell equipment for practicing this sport.

The Finnish Equestrian Federation was founded in 1920 and has been part of the FEI (Fédération Equestre International) since 1923.  There are currently 325 riding schools in the country and around 170,000 people practice it as a hobby,  placing it among the 10 most preferred sports.  There are 120 national and 330 regional competitions annually,  the most famous of which is the Helsinki International Horse Show held in October.  The turnover of horse riding,  which employs 15,000 people,  amounts to 830 million euros every year.
