Cari lettori,  felice giornata e buon San Valentino a tutti!

Hyvää Ystävänpäivää!

In realta’,  qui in Finlandia TUTTI festeggiano questa giornata,  non solo chi e’ in coppia,  perche’,  come ho gia’ spiegato,  oggi e’ la festa dell’AMICIZIA. 

Come succede a Natale e a Pasqua,  anche per San Valentino le persone si scambiano cartoline (sempre piu’ sostituite con messaggini sui social).  Parlano tutte di amicizia,   questo sentimento importantissimo che aiuta a vivere.

Nelle mie foto alcuni esempi:  “Anche se fa freddo,  la vicinanza di un amico riscalda”.

“Al mio amico/a”. 

CURIOSITA’:   In lingua finlandese la parola “ystävä”,  cioe’ amico,  e’ neutra,  come in inglese.

Infine un francobollo dedicato alla ricorrenza.  Il cigno e’ l’uccello nazionale ed e’ una specie monogama.

In Finland EVERYONE can celebrate today,  also those who are not in a relationship,  as today is FRIENDSHIP Day.

As happens at Christmas and Easter,  people also exchange postcards for Valentine’s Day (increasingly replaced with text messages on social networks).  They all talk about friendship,  this very important feeling that helps us live.

A few examples in my above shots:  “Although it is cold,  the closeness to a friend warms you” and:  “To my friend”.

A FUN FACT:  the word “ystävä”,  that is:  friend,  has a neutral connotation in Finnish language,  as well as in English.

In my parting shot:  a stamp.  The Swan is the national bird of Finland and a monogamous animal.
