Tra Italia e Finlandia

(please scroll down for English text)Buongiorno a voi,  cari lettori!  Oggi vi invito ad un giretto nel nostro giardino finlandese per vedere le splendide fioriture del mese di giugno.

Per esempio la delicata Aquilegia (qui sopra) che abbiamo in tre colori o il nostro mega-Rododendro,  che ha raggointo un’ampiezza ragguardevole.

Questo post e’ nelle mie intenzioni un chiarimento per tutti coloro che si stanno chiedendo quanto freddo stara’ facendo in questo momento qui al nord e se c’e’ ancora neve in giro… (credeteci o no,  qualcuno me lo chiede ancora!)

Non vi so dire il nome di tutti questi fiori,  ma di sicuro conosco quelli che seguono:  le infiorescenze del Rabarbaro (con i cui gambi facciamo succhi e crostate…) e le fragoline selvatiche.

Infine,  le favolose e profumatissime Rose di San Giovanni,  che fioriscono proprio adesso e che avete gia’ visto d’inverno spoglie e desolate,  quando ospitano le mangiatoie per gli uccellini.

Good morning dear readers!  Today I invite you to take a stroll in our Finnish garden to see the splendid blooms of the month of June.

For instance the charming Columbine (in three different colours in the first shots above) and our beloved Rhododendron,  by now so wide.

This post is in my intentions a clarification for all those who are wondering how cold it is right now here in the north and if there is still snow around … (believe it or not, someone still asks me !)

I can’t tell you the name of all these flowers,  but for sure I know the following:  the Rhubarb (with whose stems we make juices and tarts …) and the wild strawberries.

Finally,  the fabulous and so fragrant Saint John’s Roses,  which bloom right now and which you have already seen in winter bare and desolate,  when they host the bird feeders.
