Underneath the Trees.
September is the king month for mushrooms in Finland: in this moment you can find the largest variety possible. Of course the ones in the above photos are poisonous…but they are so beautiful to see!
Did you know that all forest animals are fond of mushrooms? Squirrels, deer, elks, even bears like them. They are all our competitors…
Today’s curiosity: upon Finland’s suggestion, the law called “Everyman’s Right” may become part of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. You can read about it clicking HERE.

Hello, the mushrooms are pretty. I like the colors and shapes. It is nice to know the critters have the mushrooms for a food source. Enjoy your day, have a great new week!

The Finnish Everyman’s Right is fantastic indeed! Your ’kärpässienet’ build a population of fairy-tale dwarfs :)))

I wonder if Nature made these mushrooms poisonous so that we can enjoy their beauty. That’s humane of Finland to allow people to gather natural growing food on public and private land. I cannot imagine that happening in our country.

I cannot imagine that happening neither in Italy, believe me, Susie! The people in Finland are more reliable… Thanks for your visit. Have a nice week!

They are colourful. I wouldn’t know the difference between safe and poisonous for humans, so I’d leave them alone.
