Finiamo il giro dei meravigliosi paesaggi offerti da Nesna e dintorni,  iniziato nei due post precedenti dedicati a questa localita’.

Siamo nella regione norvegese del Helgeland,  non lontano da Mo i Rana,  fiordo importante perche’ vi termina la strada E12,  che inizia da Helsinki.

La Norvegia non e’ mai stretta nella morsa del clima artico,  poiche’ l’oceano Atlantico mantiene una certa omotermia,  evitando gli sbalzi estivi/invernali che caratterizzano i climi continentali.  Lo stesso dicasi dell’islanda.  Pero’ questi paesi sono anche esposti all’umidita’ che arriva dall’oceano e alle piogge frequenti,  nonche’ ai venti,  talvolta impetuosi.

La stagione migliore per visitare la Norvegia e’ senz’altro l’estate,  perche’ si approfitta delle giornate lunghissime;  a chi piace viaggiare nelle stagioni intermedie diro’ che nei mesi di marzo e ottobre e’ piu’ probabile vedere le Aurore Boreali.   L’inverno ha un fascino che non tutti sanno cogliere.

We will today conclude our tour of the marvelous landscapes offered by Nesna and its surroundings,  which we began in the two previous posts dedicated to this location.

We are in the Norwegian region of Helgeland,  not far from Mo i Rana,  an important fjord because it is where the E12 road ends (it starts from Helsinki).

Norway is never gripped by an Arctic climate,  as the Atlantic Ocean helps maintaining temperatures within a certain range,  avoiding the summer/winter swings characteristic of continental climates.  The same is true of Iceland.  However,  these countries are also exposed to humidity from the ocean and frequent rains,  as well as sometimes strong winds.

The best season to visit Norway is undoubtedly summer,  because you can take advantage of the extremely long days;  for those who enjoy traveling in the shoulder seasons,  I’d say that March and October are more likely to see the Northern Lights.  Winter has a charm that not everyone will appreciate.
