Eliodoro #1.

L’agriturismo Eliodoro di Roverbella, in provincia di Mantova, ha festeggiato i suoi primi 15 anni di attività con un piacevole “garden party” in cui ha offerto ai propri ospiti un buffet con i migliori prodotti dei propri fornitori.

Grazie all’invito dei nostri amici, c’eravamo anche noi e ne propongo alcuni scatti.

Innanzitutto l’ambientazione. L’agriturismo si trova in Corte Cornalino, in una corte contadina nel bel mezzo della campagna mantovana.

L’ambiente è rustico ma ben tenuto e pulitissimo, come ben si addice ad un moderno agriturismo.

La cucina è gestita dai proprietari: la signora Paola, la cuoca, suo marito e i due figli, che selezionano i prodotti dai fornitori e sperimentano nuove ricette basate sulla stagionalità dei prodotti stessi.

E veniamo alla serata stessa: in un appetitoso buffet abbiamo assaggiato specialità di finger food e piatti di pasta agli asparagi verdi e risotto allo speck. (Continua…)

Eliodoro #1.

The Eliodoro “agriturismo” farmhouse in Roverbella, in the province of Mantua, celebrated its first 15 years of activity with a pleasant garden party where it offered its guests a buffet with the best products from its suppliers.

Thanks to the invitation from our friends, we were there too and I’m sharing a few shots.

First of all, the setting. The farmhouse is located in Corte Cornalino, in a rural courtyard right in the middle of the Mantuan countryside.

The setting is rustic but well-kept and very clean, just as you’d expect from a modern farmhouse.

The kitchen is run by the owners: Mrs. Paola, the kitchen master, her husband and their son and daughter, who pick the ingredients from suppliers and experiment with new recipes based on what’s in season.

Finally, let’s get to the evening itself: at a tasty buffet we tried finger food specialties and pasta dishes with green asparagus and risotto with speck. (To be continued…)
