Buona domenica!
Da oggi e per qualche domenica vi proporro’ alcune colonne sonore di film celebri che mi hanno interessata. Voglio dire le colonne sonore…e anche un po’ i film.
Iniziamo con la prima: oggi tocca a “The Last of the Mohicans”, il film ispirato al bel romanzo di James Fenimore Cooper ed ambientato negli aspri territori dei monti Adirondack.
Il film e’ uscito nel 1992 e il brano che vi propongo si intitola: “Promontory”; questo stupendo brano e’ un rifacimento di un brano scritto dal compositore scozzese Dougie MacLean.

Starting today and for a few Sundays, I’ll be featuring some famous movie soundtracks that have interested me. I mean, the soundtracks…and a little bit also the movies.
Let’s start with the first: today it’s “The Last of the Mohicans,” the film inspired by the beautiful novel by James Fenimore Cooper and set in the rugged Adirondack Mountains.
The film was released in 1992 and the song I’m featuring is “Promontory.” This stunning piece is a remake of a song written by Scottish composer Dougie MacLean.
