Narrano le cronache che nei mesi di marzo e ottobre e’ piu’ facile che capiti di vedere l’aurora boreale anche a latitudini piu’ basse, come ad esempio nella Finlandia meridionale. Cioe’ sopra casa nostra.
In effetti confermo che e’ cosi’. Lo scorso 20 marzo l’aurora si e’ vista per ben tre sere a fila, naturalmente in diversi orari e con diverse intensita’. Vi propongo qualche foto, non tutte di qualita’ eccelsa.
E’ stato simpatico vederla, anche perche’ era vagamente tricolore, come la bandiera italiana.
Northern Lights in March #1.
It is said that in the months of March and October it is easier to see the Northern Lights even at lower latitudes, such as in southern Finland. That is, above our house.
Indeed, I can confirm that this is true. Last March 20th, the aurora was visible for three nights in a row, naturally at different times and with varying intensities. I’ll share a few photos, unfortunately not all of the highest quality.
It was nice to see it, also because it was vaguely tricolor, like the Italian flag.

It is quite difficult even at my latitude. The norther the better. Even apps are not so precise in predicting it. Amazing anyway.
