Il giardino di Kate #1.

Non capita spesso di incontrarsi fra bloggers,  perche’ spesso si abita in diverse parti del mondo,  o perche’ non e’ cosi’ facile organizzare… ma a me e’ capitato recentemente di incontrare di persona la gentile blog-pal Kate,  del blog:  Vanha Talo Suomi,  titolo che significa:  vecchia casa in Finlandia.  Kate è statunitense ma vive a Lohja, non lontano da Somero.   Noi ci seguiamo da tempo e lei mia ha invitata a vedere il suo grande giardino,  che cura personalmente,  insieme al marito Pekka,  con tanta passione ed energia e nel quale ospita piante e fiori bellissimi e anche rari.  Un vero “Arboretum”.

Oggi,  cari lettori,  vi ci conduco.  Premetto che e’ stato difficile scegliere le foto da pubblicare,  fra le moltissime che ho scattate!

Cominciamo col vedere alcune rose,  le regine dei fiori:  Kate ne ha di spettacolari,  a cominciare dalle celebri David Austin.

Oltre ai gigli,  alle ortensie,  alle peonie,  perfino ai gelsomini,  un altro fiore meraviglioso che mi ha colpito nel giardino di Kate e’ la Clematis,  che trovo stupenda:

Prima del nostro incontro,  un temporale estivo aveva decorato i petali e le foglie con tante perle d’acqua…

Kate’s Garden  #1.

It’s not often that we bloggers meet,  because we live in different parts of the world,  or because it’s not so easy to organize… but I recently had the chance to meet the kind blog-pal Kate.  Her blog is:   Vanha Talo Suomi,  a title that means:  old house in Finland.  Kate is American but lives in Lohja,  not far from Somero,  with her husband Pekka.   We have been following each other for a long time and she invited me to see their large garden,  which she personally tends with great passion and energy and which hosts beautiful and even rare plants and flowers.  A true Arboretum.

Today,  dear readers,  I’ll take you there.  I’ll start by saying it was difficult choosing which photos to publish,  among the many I took!

We will start by looking at some roses,  they are the queens among flowers:  Kate has some spectacular ones,  starting with the famous David Austin ones.

Besides lilies,  hydrangeas,  peonies,  even jasmine,  another wonderful flower that struck me in Kate’s garden is the clematis,  which I find stunning.

Before our meeting,  a summer shower had decorated the petals and leaves with pearls of water…

To conclude this first post,  I will propose a photo collage of a stunning poppy that I really liked.
