Proprio all’entrata del paese di Somero,  c’e’ un luogo bellissimo e ospitale dove rilassarsi e bere qualcosa in compagnia:  si tratta della caffetteria Huvila Härkä.

Huvila Härkä  prende il nome dalla Härkätie,  la strada storica che in questa parte della Finlandia di sud-ovest collegava le campagne con la capitale,  distante 100km da Somero.

Huvila Härkä e’ una piacevole scoperta:  si percorre infatti il vialetto d’ingresso dove gia’ si pregusta la bellezza che sta per arrivare,  per giungere nel cuore dell’ampio parco in cui e’ situata.  Nelle foto sopra vedete il locale con il banco dove fare le ordinazioni.

Ma l’originalita’ di Huvila Härkä sta nei moltissimi angolini ombreggiati in cui ci si puo’ accomodare per trascorrere in pace il proprio tempo:  ci sono infatti tavolini,  piccoli divani,  comodi sgabelli sparsi nel parco,  sotto gazebo,  ombrelloni e pergolati.   Come potete apprezzare nelle foto seguenti…

Come dicevo,  Huvila Härkä e’ sorprendente:  i proprietari hanno sfruttato il grande parco a loro disposizione per creare angolini accoglienti,  fra i quali noterete persino due serre arredate con gusto per ospitare i clienti nei giorni di pioggia.

Huvila Härkä  #1.

Right at the entrance to the town of Somero,  there is a beautiful and hospitable place to relax and have a drink with friends:  it is the Huvila Härkä café.

Huvila Härkä takes its name from the Härkätie,  the historic road that in this part of south-west Finland used to connect the countryside with the capital town Helsinki,  100km away from Somero. 

Huvila Härkä is a pleasant discovery:  when you walk along the entrance pathway,  you can already taste the beauty that is about to arrive once you’ve reached the heart of the large park in which it is located.  Among the first photos above you see the room with the counter where you can place your orders.

The originality of Huvila Härkä lies in the many shaded corners where you can sit down to spend your time in peace:  there are in fact tables,  small sofas,  comfortable stools scattered in the park,  under gazebos,  umbrellas and pergolas.  As you can appreciate in all my photos…

As I was saying,  Huvila Härkä is surprising:  the owners have taken advantage of the large park at their disposal to create welcoming corners,  among which you will notice even two tastefully furnished greenhouses to host customers on rainy days.

    I love the idea of relaxing in cozy corners and greenhouses surrounded by nature.
