Una calda sera di giugno,  una bellissima e arancionissima Vanessa dell’ortica (Aglais Urticae)  si e’ fermata proprio sulla finestra della nostra cucina mentre stavamo cenando…pensate che non sia corsa a prendere la macchina fotografica?  🙂

Lei assaporava gli ultimi raggi di sole,  (da bravo insetto a sangue freddo)  e noi ci godevamo la cena.

Dinner with a special Guest

On a warm June evening,  a beautiful total-orange butterfly,  the Small Tortoiseshell  (Aglais Urticae),  stopped on our kitchen window just at dinner time…do you think that I did not rush to get my camera?  😉

He was just basking in the last sunbeams of the day (as a cold-blood Lepidoptera)  while we were enjoying our meal.
