Buona domenica,  cari lettori!

Recentemente Risto ed io siamo stati ad un piccolo concerto di musica Spiritual,  che si e’ tenuto nella chiesa di Somero.  I protagonisti erano un trio di musicisti finlandesi con batteria,  contrabbasso e pianoforte,  piu’ una cantante lirica:  Eric-Olof Söderström,  Patrik Latvala,  Thomas Törnroos e Tiina Sinkkonen.

Ci hanno deliziato con un repertorio di tutto rispetto,  nel quale spiccavano alcune perle,  che vi proporro’ volentieri.

La prima delle quali e’ un brano piuttosto noto:  “On the Sunny Side of the Street”,  composto nel 1930.  Fra le versioni piu’ popolari di questo brano vi e’ quella di Ella Fitzgerald,  che ho scelto.

Questa canzone e’ un inno all’ottimismo e alla resilienza,  un incoraggiamento ad affrontare la vita con coraggio,  nonostante del difficolta’.

Recently Risto and I went to a brief Spiritual music concert,  which was held in Somero church.  The protagonists were a trio of Finnish musicians with drums,  double bass and piano, plus an opera singer:  Eric-Olof Söderström,  Patrik Latvala,  Thomas Törnroos and Tiina Sinkkonen. 

They delighted us with a very respectable repertoire,  in which some pearls stood out,  which I will gladly propose to you.

The first of them is a rather well-known song:  “On the Sunny Side of the Street”,  composed in 1930.   Among the most popular versions of this song is Ella Fitzgerald’s one,  which I have chosen.

This song is a n anthem of optimism and resilience,  an encouragement to face life with courage,  despite the difficulties.

  24. Che splendida voce!!!! E l’albero che fa OK con i rami l’ho notato subito!!! Se questo incoraggiamento viene dalla natura, andrà sicuramente tutto bene!!!! Buona serata!!!! Una curiosità, c’è ancora luce da voi o è già buio come da noi?

  30. Ecco, mi pareva!!! Quando qualche anno fa, facemmo un viaggio per Kapo nord col camper, si decise di fermarci per cena non appena fosse scesa la sera….ci accorgemmo presto però che mano a mano che si saliva, la sera non arrivava mai!!! Era di Luglio, praticamente il sole non tramontava mai, fu un’esperienza incredibile!!! E’ quello che mi ha colpito di più!!! Grazie per avermi risposto 🙂 🙂 Buon inizio di settimana!!
