tere (1)XXOggi vi ripropongo altre foto della bella Abbazia di Polirone,  che abbiamo visto nello scorso post,  per raccontarvi del terremoto dal quale e’ stata in parte colpita.

Fra il 20 e il 29 maggio 2012,  infatti,  un grave terremoto fece tremare molte parti dell’Emilia Romagna:  l’epicentro delle scosse spesso si trovava nei dintorni di Modena,  che da qui dista solo una settantina di chilomentri.   L’Abbazia ebbe danni ingenti in tutti gli edifici del complesso e venne restaurata con un lungo lavoro e grazie al contributo di fondi erogati dall’Unione Europea.

Le mie foto sono del maggio 2017:  si vede chiaramente che il restauro e’ praticamente terminato,  ma alcune strutture di sostegno sono state lasciate di proposito.

Purtroppo l’Italia e’ territorio sismico e non e’ sempre facile mantenere l’enorme patrimonio artistico che ci e’ stato tramandato.

In queste ultime foto:  parte dei lavori erano ancora in corso e un segno di vita selvatica anche nella tragedia:  riuscite a vedere la piccola falena?

Polirone  (part 2).

Today I will share with you with other photos of the beautiful Polirone Abbey,  which we saw in my former post,  to tell you about the earthquake by which it was partly hit.

Between 20 and 29 May 2012,  a serious earthquake shook many parts of Italian region Emilia Romagna:  the epicenter was often located near Modena,  which is only about seventy kilometers away from here.  The Abbey suffered extensive damage to all the buildings in the complex and was restored with extensive work and thanks to the contribution of funds provided by the European Union.

My photos are from May 2017:  you can clearly see that the restoration is practically finished,  but some support structures were left on purpose.

Unfortunately,  Italy is a seismic territory and it is not always easy to maintain the enormous artistic heritage that has been handed down to us.

In these latest photos:  some of the work was still in progress and a sign of wild life even in the tragedy:  can you see the little moth?

  13. Purtroppo l’Italia è un territoria sismico in specialmodo lungo la linea degli Appennini accadono dei veri disastri. Le chiese e le opere d’arte sono le prime a risentirne perchè più antiche, però è anche vero che sono le prime ad essere ricostruite, mentre invece per le case della popolazione, non c’è mai troppa fretta….

  34. Die Menschen können so wunderschöne Bauten bauen und wieder aufbauen.
    Aber leider können sie sie auch in Kriegen zerstören.
    Hier war es Mutter Natur die zerstört hat.
    Ich erinnere mich noch gut 🙈
    Einen schönen Abend wünsche ich.
    Das TV sagte gerade, dass ihr euch in einem Dauerhoch befindet.
