Presso il centro commerciale Tuulonen,  fra Hämeenlinna e Tampere,  e’ allestito un vero e proprio museo dell’aviazione,  sia pure in piccolo.  Vi si trovano reperti di vario tipo e di varia importanza,  collocati in vari punti.

Oggi vi propongo questo Focke-Wulf Fw 44J Stieglitz (SZ-18),  che e’ appeso,  dopo opportuno restauro,  nella hall.

Questo aereo e’ un biplano monomotore tedesco,  usato come aereo-scuola e acrobatico che ha effettuato il suo primo volo nel 1932.

Durante la II guerra mondiale e precisamente durante l’invasione russa della Finlandia che qui si chiama:  Guerra d’inverno,  su questo aereo si istruivano in Danimarca i piloti finlandesi.  Durante la guerra ne furono acquistati 35.  A guerra finita,  gli aerei vennero usati come velivoli scuola fino al 1960 e in seguito i rimanenti ancora in servizio furono venduti al mercato privato.  Questo singolo pezzo fu acquisito dal museo nel 1999.   (Fonte:  Ilmailumuseoyhdistys ry).

Aircrafts in Tuulonen  #1.

At the Tuulonen shopping centre,  between Hämeenlinna and Tampere,  there is a real aviation museum,  albeit a small one.  You can see aircrafts of various types and of various importance,  located in various points.

Today I will share with you this Focke-Wulf Fw 44J Stieglitz (SZ-18),  which hangs,  after a suitable restoration, in the hall.

This aircraft is a German single-engine biplane,  used as a training and aerobatic aircraft,  which performed its first flight in 1932.

During World War II and precisely during the Russian invasion of Finland which is called here:  Winter War,  Finnish pilots trained on this plane type in Denmark.  During the war,  35 planes were purchased.  After the war,  the planes were used as training aircrafts until 1960 and then the remaining ones still in service were sold to the private market.  This single piece was acquired by the museum in 1999.   (Source:  Ilmailumuseoyhdistys ry).

  2. Penso che tu abbia visto Sisu L’immortale soldato, eroe, realmente esistito proprio con riferimento alla ‘guerra d’inverno” 39-40 finlandese!

    la mia passione per gli aerei nasce con mia madre che sposò ben due ufficiali di aviazione il secondo, che io ho amato come un padre,ll è stato per anni capo scuadriglia delle frecce tricolori!!! ❤️

  18. A museum like this immediately catches my attention, aviation has always interested me from an early age. It’s really great that such a device ended up in this museum and is preserved for the future. Certainly because of the role it played during the Second World War. Thanks for sharing.
