Oggi vi propongo l’ascolto di un brano impegnativo. Ad un primo livello sembra una canzonetta, ma il testo e’ profondo e significativo.

Il brano si intitola: “Your Own Worst Enemy” e’ di Bruce Springsteen che lo ha pubblicato nel suo bellissimo album: Magic, il mio preferito del Boss.

Leggendo il testo che trovate in calce al post, darete la vostra interpretazione. Una di quelle ufficiali e’ che parla di una persona che ha un passato difficile col quale deve convivere. Io l’ho interpretato come l’arrivo della depressione che toglie la serenita’, o comunque di un qualche pensiero o preoccupazione o ansia o angoscia, o dispiacere o lutto che non fa dormire la notte. E’ una condizione che abbiamo provato tutti. Springsteen stesso ha dovuto combattere contro la depressione, come vari altri artisti.

Dedico questo post a coloro che si trovano adesso in questa condizione.

Today I propose you to listen to a difficult song. At first it sounds just a song, but the lyrics are deep and meaningful.

Its title is: “Your Own Worst Enemy”, by Bruce Springsteen who released it in his beautiful album: Magic, my favorite by the Boss.

By reading the text, which you find at the bottom of the post, you will give your own interpretation. One of the official ones says the song is about someone who has a difficult past which he/she has to live with. I interpreted it as the coming of depression that takes away serenity, or in any case of some thought or worry or anxiety or anguish, or sorrow or mourning that doesn’t let you sleep at night. It’s a condition we’ve all experienced. Springsteen himself went through hard times of depression, as well as many other artists.

I’ll dedicate this post to those who find themselves in this condition now.
