La canzone della neve.

(English version below)LS XX

Buon ascolto!      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhe0ULrAHIw

Happy Sunday,  my blog-friends!

Talking about songs dedicated to snow once again,  I will share with you a masterpiece.  It is not really a song about snow,  quite the contrary,  but I associate it to the white element because statistically every time I listen to it the snow is never far away …

In particular,  I associate it with a copious snowfall in Verona in the 90s.  I don’t remember exactly the year,  but I do remember that on my way to work to the airport in the snowfall with the first shift at 05.00,  my car radio played this song.  The working day was very heavy,  with canceled flights and delayed passengers.  A snowfall in Verona is certainly not a usual event and we are never really ready for it,  also because it usually melts during the same day or the next.

The song is still great and it comes from a historical band that we all know:  legendary Eagles.

Enjoy it!     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhe0ULrAHIw

(The above shot is part of history:  an aircraft which has been now dismissed for many years,  an ATR42 belonging to Italian airline company Air Dolomiti.  My colleague Simone took the photo on a snowy night.  A dear memory to me).

Desperado.

Desperado, why don’t you come to your senses?
You’ve been out ridin’ fences for so long now
Oh, you’re a hard one
I know that you got your reasons
These things that are pleasin’ you
Will hurt you somehow

Don’t you draw the queen of diamonds, boy
She’ll beat you if she’s able
You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet
Now it seems to me, some fine things
Have been laid upon your table
But you only want the ones that you can’t get

Desperado, oh, you ain’t gettin’ no younger
Your pain and your hunger, they’re drivin’ you home
And freedom, oh freedom well, that’s just some people talkin’
Your prison is walking through this world all alone

Don’t your feet get cold in the winter time?
The sky won’t snow and the sun won’t shine
It’s hard to tell the night time from the day
You’re losin’ all your highs and lows
Ain’t it funny how the feeling goes away?

Desperado, why don’t you come to your senses?
Come down from your fences, open the gate
It may be rainin’, but there’s a rainbow above you
You better let somebody love you
(Let somebody love you)
You better let somebody love you before it’s too late

  1. Thank you for the song with beautiful scenes on YouTube. The aeroplane in the snow must bring back dear memories. I remember snow at Easter at home in Italy. We needed to travel and we were glad it soon melted. Happy Sunday!
