La merla infreddolita.

Tutti gli uccelli stanziali sono equipaggiati per sopravvivere all’inverno finlandese, quantunque rigido. Certo che se proprio il termometro scende di parecchio ricorrono a strategie extra: ad esempio gonfiano le piume per far entrare aria, visto che questa e’ un ottimo isolante.

Ancora, quando becchettano nella neve gelida, alzano una zampetta per tenerla almeno qualche secondo al caldo…come vedete bene nel video seguente:

The Blackbird is freezing.

All resident birds are equipped to survive the Finnish winter, however tough it can be. Of course, if the thermometer drops a lot, they use extra strategies: for example they inflate the feathers to let air in, since air is an excellent insulator.

Again, when pecking in the icy snow, they raise a paw to keep it warm at least for a few seconds … as you can see well in the video above.
