Strade sterrate.

DSCN4145In Finlandia vi capitera’ di addentrarvi in parecchie strade sterrate,  se fate escursioni al di fuori delle vie piu’ battute.  Non abbiate timore perche’ sono sempre ben tenute,  in quanto ci sono sicuramente abitazioni nelle vicinanze.  Come infatti ho detto piu’ volte,  ai finlandesi piace stare larghi e spesso abitano molto fuori dei centri urbani. 

Spesso vi sembrera’ di essere capitati nella foresta piu’ fitta:  non vedrete che alberi attorno a voi…quando improvvisamente svoltata una curva troverete una bella fattoria con campi e mucche al pascolo!

Va da se’ quindi la necessita’ di mantenere le strade sterrate.  Spesso la manutenzione e’ affidata al proprietario,  che vi provvede con i suoi mezzi,  se la strada e’ privata,  ma nel caso di strada pubblica,  vi si provvede tramite un incaricato designato dall’associazione di famiglie che abita in quella via.

Il mezzo che vedete nelle mie foto e’ proprio adibito a questo scopo.

Sandy Roads.

In Finland you will happen to go into several sandy roads,  if you are driving off the beaten track.  Don’t be afraid because they are always well maintained,  as there are certainly houses nearby.  In fact,  as I have said several times,  Finns like their own house to be surrounded by some land and often live outside towns.

Sometimes you will think you are in the deepest forest:  nothing but trees around you…when suddenly after the next curve you will see a large farmhouse with pastures and fields!

The need to keep the sandy roads in good conditions then goes without saying.  The maintenance is often entrusted to the owner,  who provides it by his own means,  if the road is private,  but in the case of a public road,  the service is done through a person designated by the association of families who live in that street.

  3. Haven´t seen tiekarhu since my childhood. My grandparents lived by gravel roads and it was a common sight back then.My father lives there now but can´t remember seen one there in ages. I guess they do it yet still cause the roads are well maintainted.

  19. Suppongo che non ci sia grande traffico su queste strade, perchè altrimenti si “rovinerebbero” molto presto. La loro buona manutenzione è molto più difficile che non una strada asfaltata, ma sono sicuramente più belle e più naturali nei boschi e nelle foreste.

  26. io che odio le sterrate! Per me sarebbe un incubo da quelle parti, pensa che ogni volta litigo col navigatore perchè per farmi fare prima mi fa tagliare per delle sterrate, nelle Marche questa estate ho fatto un tratto di più 8 km tutto sterrato, roba da fuoristrada, solo che io ho una macchina normale, per giunta quasi nuova…🙄
    Va beh magari li sarete abituati o avrete macchine diverse per affrontare certe strade…
