Nella bagarre di concerti di capodanno che vi siete sorbiti, spero vi sia rimasta un po’ di voglia di ascoltare ancora un po’ di musica. Facciamo…classica? 😉
Vi propongo un estratto dalla suite “Lo Schiaccianoci”, di Tchaikovsky. Io lo trovo un musicista romantico e ricco di slancio. E poi…questa melodia in particolare scommetto che non vi e’ del tutto nuova…

I am sure you have listened to a lot of music and concerts also this New Year’s Day, but I hope you still feel like listening to something classical. 😉
What I have selected comes from “The Nutcracker Suite”, by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. I find Tchaikovsky a very romantic composer and quite modern too. By the way: I bet this melody is not totally new to you…

How lovely! The English National Ballet have the Nutcracker on You Tube at the moment. I am still hoping to find time to watch it before it is taken down.

Never get tired of this music and ballet. Saw the whole thing two times during Christmas 🙂 Viritually, and not in the opera house, as usual.

pensa “lo schiaccianoci” è stata una delle prime opere sinfoniche che ho sentito da bambino, assieme al ” Lago dei Cigni” altro grande classico. 🙂

What a fitting piece of music for the holidays:) Love the Nutcracker Suite – and used to enjoy listening and viewing it this time of the year with my kids when they still lived at home. Appreciate your link for All Seasons, and some will surely make use of it.
