Buona quarta domenica d’Avvento,  cari lettori!

Anche oggi il mio proposito e’ di rallegrare la vostra giornata con un brano musicale. 

Ho scelto qualcosa di finnico e di moderno:  il gruppo degli Haloo Helsinki!  insieme ai piccoli cantori del coro Cantores Minores.  Il titolo del brano e’:  “Valkoinen Maa”,  cioe’:  “Terra bianca”,  riferito all’abbondante neve che a Natale ricopre la terra,  ma non deve ricoprire anche i cuori! 

Vi invito a seguire anche il loro video,  ricco di immagini suggestive,  a partire dagli interni del duomo di Helsinki.  

Questo brano e’ legato al Natale come momento di bilanci di fine anno.  Vi cito solo uno stralcio del ritornello:  “La terra e’ tutta imbiancata / nevica infinitamente  / Quest’anno altri hano avuto miglior fortuna / ma io sono qui ancora pronta a lottare e resistere,  con la mia giacca aperta”…

Happy fourth Advent Sunday,  dear readers!

Today I will once again try to cheer up your Sunday mood with some music.  This time something modern and Finnish. 

The band name is Haloo Helsinki!  – performing with the Cantores Minores choir.  The title of the song is:  “Valkoinen Maa”,  “White Earth”,  referred to the abundant snow which covers this country in winter,  but should not cover the heart.

Their video is worth while seeing as well:  it’s full of meaningful images,  starting with the interiors of the Helsinki dome.

This song is associated to Christmas as a moment of end-of-year assessment.  Just a taste of the refrain:  “White earth / it is snowing heavily / This year someone else has had better fortune / but I am here,  jacket open,  ready to fight and resist…”
