Come vidi scritto in un adesivo su un’ auto, qualche tempo fa: “No farms, no food”.
Spacebales.
For you a series of shots of open countryside seen from above. After the harvest, the territory is scattered with straw bales…don’t they look like small diamonds?
And indeed the produce of mother Earth is essential to mankind, more precious than diamonds. As I read in a sticker on a car once: “No farms, no food”.
Just for you to know: in Italy we harvest corn within the month of June, in Finland we do it in August.
(The title of the post comes from a Mel Brooks movie released in 1987.)
(This post is dedicated to my friend Silvia G., whom I met during a trip to Apulia).

The fields have the look of a patchwork quilt, reminiscent of the countryside in the UK somewhat.

Very nice images – that landscape looks a lot like the kind of place I was born and brought up in – SW England.

Great photos – and yes we need farms w/o lots of chemicals. No bees, no food either.

These are wonderful shots. I like the patterns. I wonder if the farmers realize how cool their fields look from the sky?
