Tra Italia e Finlandia

Buona domenica!

Anche oggi,  cari lettori del mio blog,  vi propongo una colonna sonora stupenda.  Il film e’ finlandese ed e’ uscito nel 2024;  si intitola: “Myrskyluodon Maija”,  cioe’:  “Maija da Myrskyluoto”,  dove Myrskyluoto e’ il nome di un luogo e Maija e’ il nome della protagonista.

Il film e’ ispirato ai romanzi dell’autrice Anni Blomqvist,  che e’ originaria proprio delle isole Åland,  dove si svolge la vicenda narrata.  Le isole Åland sono un arcipelago finlandese che gode di vasta autonomia,  che ha una propria bandiera e in parte proprie leggi.  Si trovano tra Finlandia e Svezia,  al largo di Turku e gli abitanti parlano svedese come prima lingua.

La storia e’ quella di Maija e Janne,  una coppia che con la propria famiglia affronta le difficolta’ della vita sull’isola di Myrskyluoto nel XIX secolo.

L’autore della suggestiva colonna sonora e’ il musicista finlandese Lasse Mårtenson.

Also today,  dear readers of my blog,  I will offer you a wonderful soundtrack.  The film is Finnish and was released in 2024;  it’s title is:  “Myrskyluodon Maija”,  that is:  “Maija from Myrskyluoto”,  where Myrskyluoto is the name of a place and Maija is the name of the protagonist.

The film is inspired by the novels of author Anni Blomqvist,  who is originally from the Åland Islands,  where the story takes place.  The Åland Islands are a Finnish archipelago that enjoys extensive autonomy,  having its own flag and partly its own laws.  They are located between Finland and Sweden,  off the coast of Turku and the inhabitants speak Swedish as their first language.

The story tells of Maija and Janne,  a couple who with their family face the difficulties of life on the island of Myrskyluoto in the 19th century.

The author of the evocative soundtrack is Finnish musician Lasse Mårtenson.
