Un bel giorno d’aprile abbiamo visto sul Garda un elegantissimo cigno avvicinarsi ad un altro ed abbiamo pensato che fosse un corteggiatore in vena di trovare compagnia.  Purtroppo non e’ stato gradito e la presunta “cigna” se n’e’ volata via,  lasciandolo solo con la sua bellezza.IMG_5530IMG_5531IMG_5534IMG_5535

Quando si e’ avvicinato alla riva,  abbiamo visto che in effetti era un individuo molto attraente…IMG_5537IMG_5538

Purtroppo pero’ per questa volta non gli e’ rimasto altro che lisciarsi le piume.

Another Unwelcome Suitor.

One fine day in April we saw a very elegant swan approaching another on Lake Garda and we thought he was a suitor in the mood to find company.  Unfortunately he was not welcome and the alleged “girl” flew away,  leaving it alone with its beauty.

As he approached the shore we recognized that he was indeed majestic and beautiful…

But for this time he could do nothing but take care of his wondrous plumage.
