A primavera le femmine dei Cervi giungono al termine della gravidanza,  per cui cercano di allontanare i loro piccoli nati l’anno prima.  Quello che vedete nelle foto e’ un giovane cerbiatto che puo’ rimanere con la mamma ancora per poco:  quando nasceranno i nuovi fratellini dovra’ cavarsela da solo.

I Cervi hanno una gestazione di 33 settimane e i parti avvengono tra maggio e giugno.  Alla nascita un piccolo pesa tra i sei e gli otto chili.

Le macchie bianche sul pelo scompaiono con l’eta’,  sono caratteristiche dei piccoli e li aiutano a mimetizzarsi nella vegetazione.

In spring,  Does reach the end of their pregnancy,  so they try to drive away their young ones which were born the year before.

What you see in the photos is a young fawn who can stay with his mother still for a little while:  when the new siblings are born he will have to take care of himself alone.

Does have a gestation period of 33 weeks and births occur between May and June.  At birth a baby weighs between six and eight kilos.

The white spots on the fur disappear with age,  they are characteristic of the young ones and help them to camouflage themselves in the vegetation.
