I belli addormentati.

Un giorno dello scorso novembre,  con il sole che faceva stupendamente risaltare i colori del paesaggio,  cercando di avvicinarmi per fotografare queste due splendide bestie,  mi sono accorta che…stavano dormendo!addXX (2)addXX (3)

Come sapete,  i cavalli dormono spesso in piedi e questi due stavano proprio facendo la pennichella pomeridiana.

CURIOSITA’:  il fatto che stanno dormendo e’ dimostrato dal loro essere perfettamente immobili e dal loro tenere una delle 4 zampe leggermente sollevata – quella sta riposando.addXX (4)addXX (7)

Sleeping Beauties.

One day last November,  with the sun that made the colors of the landscape stand out beautifully,  while I was trying to get closer to photograph these two splendid horses,  I realized that … they were sleeping! 

As you know,  horses often sleep standing and these two were just having their afternoon nap. 

A FUN FACT:  you can see that they are sleeping by their being perfectly still and by their keeping one of the four legs slightly raised – that one is resting.
