Una caffetteria strepitosa (part 1).

Oggi,  cari lettori,  riprendiamo a viaggiare nella Lapponia finlandese,  perche’ le meraviglie da vedere lassu’ sono davvero tante,  nonostante quel che si pensi,  data la scarsita’ di popolazione.

Oggi vi porto in una caffetteria che vi sorprendera’ per la sua carineria:  l’arredamento ben curato,  i dettagli di stile,  l’atmosfera,  i dolci e le torte salate saporitissime…tutto vi fara’ venir voglia di passarci un’oretta.

La caffetteria Korpihilla si trova appena fuori la cittadina di Posio e non lontano dal Parco Nazionale Riisitunturi,  praticamente sulla direttrice che da Kuusamo porta a Rovaniemi.  

La caffetteria vera e propria si trova in uno spazio particolare,  ma il complesso di Korpihilla consta di molti edifici,  trattandosi di una ex casa padronale con annessa scuola per i figli dei mezzadri.  Oggi quasi tutti gli edifici sono visitabili,  inclusa la serra che ospita fiori e piante officinali.  Nella splendida e verde benche’ breve estate nordica,  i tavolini sono disposti all’aperto nell’ampio giardino e sulla terrazza.

A wonderful Coffeehouse  (part 1).

Today,  dear readers,  we resume travelling in the Finnish Lapland,  because the wonders to see up there are so many,  despite what you may think,  given the scarcity of population.

Today I will take you to a coffee shop that will surprise you with its cuteness:  the well-kept furnishings,  the stylish details,  the atmosphere,  the very tasty desserts and quiches … everything will make you want to spend a while there.

The Korpihilla café is located just outside the town of Posio and not far from the Riisitunturi National Park,  more or less half way along the route that leads from Kuusamo to Rovaniemi.

The café itself is located in a particular space,  but the Korpihilla complex consists of many buildings,  being a former manor house with an adjoining school for the sharecroppers’ children.  Today almost all the buildings can be visited,  including the greenhouse which houses flowers and medicinal plants.  In the splendid and green – although short –  Nordic summer,  the tables are arranged outdoors in the large garden and on the terrace.

Today we have seen the outdoor spaces and different buildings,  in the next post we’ll go inside to taste something.  Ready?

  12. Toutes les photos apportent beaucoup de paix.Je suis séduite par les bâtiments et aussi par le parc si bien agencé et si tranquille.Ce serait un bonheur de passer par là. 😉
    J’espère que l’intérieur a autant de charme que l’intérieur. 😀
