  19. We have deer living here in the middle of the city of Bellingham. We are fortunate to have protected natural areas and some undeveloped bits of forest where they survive/thrive. We even had two beavers set up a dam in the natural area behind our condo until they had to be removed by a certified trapper to release farther out in the woods. Their dam was causing some flooding and their teeth and the backed up water killed many large trees. – Margy
