Cari amici,  come potete immaginare anche la capitale della Finlandia si veste di luci in questo periodo.  Dalle mie foto ne potete avere una piccola idea.

Questa meravigliosa citta’ e’ particolarmente vivace sotto Natale :  le occasioni di shopping elegante non mancano,  come non mancano i mercatini tradizionali con prodotti di artigianato e alimentari.  Non solo:  si tengono in tutte le chiese concerti di musica classica, sacra,  popolare e gospel,  per momenti di raccoglimento ma anche di gioia. 

Venite a Helsinki:  e’ una citta’ bellissima  (anche a Natale)!

Infine:  la gradite una dolcissima canzone di Natale?  Nel repertorio finlandese ce ne sono tantissime:  moderne,  storiche,  rap,  religiose,  dissacranti…  Quella che vi propongo oggi si intitola:  “Tule,  Joulu kultainen”  cioe’:  “Vieni, prezioso Natale” e la dedico a tutti coloro che amano questa festivita’.

Christmas Lights in Helsinki.      

Dear friends,  as you can guess also Helsinki,  the capital of Finland,  wears up a dress of lights in this time of year.  You can have a faint idea of this in my shots above. 

You are welcome to Helsinki!  In this wonderful capital,  Christmas time is particularly lively:  there are several luxury shopping opportunities as well as traditional markets selling food and handicrafts.  More than that,  a series of musical events take place:  sacred,  traditional,  classical and gospel music concerts are held in various churches,  to allow moments of religious meditation but also joy.

Come to Helsinki:  it is a beautiful city  (also at Christmas)!

And after all would you like to listen to a Christmas song?  The Finns have thousands in their culture:  old,  modern,  religious,  irreligious,  rap…  The one I would like to share with you today is lovely;  its title is:  “Tule,  Joulu kultainen”  that is:  “Come,  precious Christmas”.  I will dedicate it to all my readers who like this festivity.

  35. One day I would really love to have a white Christmas. Here in Australia it is HOT! for Christmas but we still cook the traditional foods. Thank you for the lovely Christmas carol. WIshing you a joyous Christmas. I am joining you today over on the Imagining link up.
