Helsinki Baltic Herring Market (part 2).
Welcome back, dear readers for the continuation of our tour through the herring market in Helsinki. As I said in the previous post, this event takes place since 1743 and one of the main highligths to visit are the huge fishing vessels: majestic sailing ships with small and cozy restaurants where people can taste herring dishes and more. We jumped onto the Valborg. You can see the interiors.
In the slide show above: other panoramic views of the harbour of Helsinki.
In the following shots you can view the Olga vessel.
And what about that juvenile seagull? He has already tasted something…sure!
So, this is all for now. Pippi will welcome you to next year’s festival. Moi moi!
In the short video you can see the event advertised.

Ciao Silvia e grazie.

Those older ships have so much character. And the one with the cosy fireplace and the bar must have been very tempting.
