Ho creato il mio primo collage di foto, stimolata dalle blogger Finlandesi che ho conosciuto. Non ci avevo mai pensato prima.
Il tema sono le bianchissime, freschissime e profumatissime rose chiamate Juhannusruusu, (Rosa spinosissima) che sbocciano una volta l’anno in corrispondenza del solstizio d’estate (San Giovanni nel calendario cattolico).
La loro fioritura e’ abbondante e formano una vera cascata bianca!
Quando queste rose sbocciano, inizia la breve estate finlandese…

Inspired by my new Finnish blogging acquaintances, I have created my first photo collage ever. (I had just never thought about it…)
The subject is the Juhannusruusu (Rosa spinosissima): fresh, simple, charmingly-scented white roses which bloom at half June, more or less in the time of the summer solstice (St. John the Baptist in the Catholic calendar).
They bloom copiously…an authentic cascade of white !
When they start blooming, the brief Finnish summer starts…
