Lovely birds. Towards the end of April they should be able to find food in the wild, but of course a free “canteen” like yours is very welcome .

We are actually planning to remove the feeders next weekend. When the weather is warmer seeds and suet get bad too.

Devo dire che quest’inverno sono venuti da noi tutto il tempo. La salsiccia è stata una risorsa. Negli inverni in cui avevamo solo i semi di girasole non tornavano.

I have purchased two of those ‘sausages’ after your suggestion. The first wasn’t devoured nearly as fast as the second one. Actually, the second one became the favourite of a certain woodpecker that pecked at the sausage so cleverly, the entire netting became quite shredded. The bird or maybe its accomplices, flew away with at least half the much sought after bundle. Those sausages are much loved by the birds in my garden! I will have to hoist up a replacement if any are still available in the shops. 🙂
