All’Hotel Elefant di Riga, gli elefanti vi faranno compagnia ovunque. Noi ci siamo stati in primavera, poco prima di Pasqua. Vi propongo qualche scatto.
L’hotel si trova in zona tranquilla, un po’ fuori dal centro ma ben collegato, nel moderno quartiere di Šampēteris, oltre il fiume Daugava. Attorno all’hotel oltre ad abitazioni private e vari uffici.
CURIOSITA’: A Riga esiste anche l’Hotel Islande. Mi piace ricordare che l’Islanda e’ stato il primo Paese a riconoscere l’indipendenza della Lettonia, appena liberatasi dal giogo sovietico, nel 1991.

At the Hotel Elefant in Riga, elephants will keep you company everywhere. We were there in spring, just before Easter. Here are a few shots.
The hotel is located in a quiet area, a little outside the center but well-connected, in the modern Šampēteris district, across the Daugava River. Surrounding the hotel are private homes and various offices.
FUN FACT: Riga also hosts the Hotel Islande. I like to point out that Iceland was the first country to recognize Latvia’s independence, just free from Soviet rule in 1991.
