Ciclamini per Natale.

Se nei giorni di dicembre passando per le strade di Verona vedete vasi di Ciclamini (Cyclamen) sui davanzali delle finestre,  non stupitevi:  qui il clima puo’ essere davvero mite e comunque i ciclamini resistono bene.

Questi bellissimi fiori con le loro foglie cuoriformi devono solamente essere protetti dalle gelate,  ma essendo fiori autunnali,  possono davvero durare fino a marzo,  anche in casa.

Cyclamen for Christmas.

If in December days walking through the streets of Verona you see pots of Cyclamen (Cyclamen) on the windowsills,  do not be surprised:  here the climate can be really mild and in any case the cyclamens resist well.

These beautiful flowers with their heart-shaped leaves only need to be protected from frost,  but being autumn flowers,  they can really last until March,  also indoors.

  11. Cyclamens are also a big classic among winter flowers in Apulia. If you protect them from heat and drying out in the summer, they will bloom again from October. Mine, in fact, do. 🙂 In the forests one can also find very small wild versions.

  35. I remember time ago, when in Germany we still had double windows and in between them the window ledge, most people kept cyclamen there. Now, with modern windows you can’t. Inside it’s too warm for them.
