Sulle strade del Baldo.

Partendo dalla localita’ di Garda,  si percorre la strada provinciale 8 e si giunge fino al Monte Baldo,  passando per paesini pittoreschi come Spiazzi,  Ferrara di Monte Baldo,  Novezza.  Lungo la strada vediamo case di campagna,  fattorie,  agriturismo,  punti attrezzati per picnic,  distese di ulivi e viti fino ad una certa altitudine e poi boschi…

Qualche punto d’interesse:  la fortezza di Rivoli Veronese,  edificata a difesa del confine sud dell’Impero austriaco a meta’ del 1800:

Piccoli ristoranti,  rivendite di vino e olio,  locande e B&B:

Come detto,  corti di agricoltori o coltivatori di prodotti alimentari a km zero:

Paesini pittoreschi come Pazzon:

Va detto che la montagna veronese attrae turisti in ogni stagione poiche’ tante sono le sue bellezze:  dai percorsi sportivi,  alle piccole cittadine,  ai santuari,  alle trincee della Grande Guerra,  agli animali selvatici che vi si incontrano,  ai giardini,  all’orto botanico del Baldo,  alla vegetazione e ai fiori…

Conclusione:  una vacanza in montagna e’ un’ottima idea.

Along the Mount Baldo Roads.

Starting from the town of Garda,  we will take the road number 8 and reach Monte Baldo,  driving through picturesque villages such as Spiazzi,  Ferrara di Monte Baldo,  Novezza.  Along the road we see country houses,  farms,  farmhouse accomodation possibilities,  picnic areas,  stretches of olive trees and vines up to a certain altitude and then woodlands…

Some points of interest in my photos:  the Fort of Rivoli Veronese,  built to defend the southern border of the Austrian Empire in the mid-1800s;

Small restaurants,  wine and oil shops,  inns and B&Bs;

As mentioned,  farmhouses where local food is produced;

Colourful villages as Pazzon;

It must be said that the Veronese mountain area attracts tourists in every season because its beauties are so many:  from the sports trails,  to the small towns,  to the sanctuaries,  to the trenches of the Great War,  to the wild animals that can be found there,  to the gardens,  to the botanical garden of Baldo,  to the vegetation and flowers…
