Glorenza #2.

Continuiamo il nostro giro per le vie di Glorenza,  attardandoci fino a notte.

L’altitudine di questo borgo e’ di 907 metri s.l.m.  Si tratta del piu’ piccolo borgo di tutto l’Alto Adige e di uno dei borghi piu’ piccoli d’Europa.

La vera bellezza di Glorenza e’ il fatto che non e’ troppo rifatto,  artificiale,  turistico,  al contrario: al di fuori della piazzetta con alcuni bar e un paio di negozi,  si trova la vita vera con le case,  le corti,  i giardini,  i campi,  la gente del posto.

Non staro’ a raccontarvi le infinite possibilita’ di sport offerte dalla Val Venosta;  diro’ solo che moltissimi hotel della zona sono dotati di piccole o grandi spa,  per il relax dopo lo sport.

Non vi diro’ nemmeno quanto la cucina locale sia curata e varia.  La montagna infatti non e’ solo sport;  infine,  ricordo le molte possibilita’ di visita a musei etnografici ed eventi culturali,  concerti…

Glorenza  #2.

We will continue today our tour through the streets of Glorenza,  lingering until nightfall.

The altitude of this village is 907 meters above sea level.

Glorenza is the smallest village in the Alto Adige region and one of the smallest in Europe.

The real beauty of Glorenza is the fact that it is not overdone,  artificial,  touristy,  on the contrary:  outside the little square with a few bars and a couple of shops,  you find real life with the houses,  the courtyards,  the gardens,  the fields of the local people.

I won’t tell you about the endless sports opportunities offered by Val Venosta;  I’ll just say that many hotels in the area have small or large spas,  for relaxation after sports.

I won’t even tell you how refined and varied the local cuisine is.  The mountains do not mean just sports,  but also culture:  I would like to remind you of the many opportunities to visit ethnographic museums and cultural events,  concerts…
