Tra Italia e Finlandia

(English text at the bottom)Come sulla sabbia,  anche sulla neve il vento scolpisce dune sinuose,  con la sua forza.  La neve naturalmente e’ quella impalpabile come pulviscolo,  che cade quando siamo parecchio sottozero:  quella dai fiocchi minuscoli,  leggerissima.  La fa volare,  la fa brillare nel sole e la scaglia lontano,  trasformando il paesaggio.

Di contro,  la neve che cade quando siamo a ridosso dello zero e’ pesante,  attaccaticcia,  i suoi fiocchi sono larghi:  e’ intrisa d’acqua.Mi e’ piaciuto tantissimo perdermi in questo paesaggio.  Vi propongo alcuni scatti in bianco e nero.

Snow Dunes.

As well as on the sand,  on the snow the wind carves sinuous dunes with its power.  Of course it is the lightest type of snow which falls when we are quite below zero degrees Celsius:  the one with tiny flakes,  very thin,  impalpable as dust.  The wind  makes it fly,  makes it twist and twirl in the sun and throws it away,  transforming the landscape.

On the contrary,  the snow that falls when we are close to zero is heavy,  sticky,  its flakes are large:  it is soaked in water.

I quite liked to be surrounded by this lovely landscape.  I will post a few shots in B&W too.
