Buona domenica a tutti!

Oggi,  per l’ultimo dei nostri appuntamenti musicali natalizi dedicati al tema:  Viaggio,  mi sono ispirata al viaggio dei Re Magi,  archetipo di tanti lunghi viaggi di scoperta,  conoscenza,  ricerca ma anche introspezione.  

Il brano e’ stato composto nel 1857 da un Pastore della Chiesa Episcopale della Pennsylvania,  divenendo ben presto una carola natalizia notissima,  il cui titolo e’:  “We Three Kings”.  Ho scelto l’esecuzione del coro Angel City Chorale di LA.

Today,  for the last of our Christmas musical appointments dedicated to the theme:  Journey,  I was inspired by the journey of the Three Kings,  an archetype of many long journeys of discovery,  knowledge,  research but also introspection.

The song was composed in 1857 by a Pastor of the Episcopal Church of Pennsylvania,  quickly becoming a very well-known Christmas carol.  The title is:  “We Three Kings”.  I chose the performance of the LA Angel City Chorale.

We three kings of Orient are;
Bearing gifts we traverse afar,
