Tutti voi,  cari lettori,  senz’altro conoscete la vecchia canzone messicana:  “Cucurrucucu Paloma”,  interpretata da molti artisti.  L’interpretazione piu’ toccante e’ senz’altro quella del brasiliano Caetano Veloso.

La canzone parla di un uomo che perde la propria donna ed e’ devastato dalla sua assenza,  al quale solo una colomba porta un po’ di sollievo col suo tubare.

Oggi vi voglio far ascoltare un brano finlandese che riprende il verso della colomba,  ma cala il senso del testo in una dimensione un po’ diversa.  A me di questo brano piace il tessuto musicale.  (Il testo e’ in calce).

La cantante e’ Mariska e il brano del 2012 si intitola proprio:  “Kukkurukuu”.

All of you,  dear readers,  surely know the old Mexican song:  “Cucurrucucu Paloma”,   performed by many artists.  The most touching interpretation is undoubtedly Brazilian Caetano Veloso’s. 

The song is about a man who loses his woman and is devastated by her absence,  to whom only a dove brings some relief with its cooing. 

Today I want to play to you a Finnish song that takes up the verse of the dove,  although the meaning is brought into a slightly different dimension.  I particularly appreciate its music.  (The text is at the bottom of this post).

The singer is Mariska and the 2012 song is just: “Kukkurukuu”.

  8. I know the Mexican “Cucurrucucu Paloma” song, who doesn’t…

    I translated the song text of the Finnish version to Duth and must admid that it is also a very sensitve song full of emotion. The music is totaly different but I liked the melody too.
