I mercatini di Natale sono sempre una gioia:  percorrerli e vedere le meraviglie esposte,  assaggiare i dolci di produzione locale e annusare gli aromi di cannella,  tè speziati o vin brulè che aleggiano nell’aria è davvero coinvolgente.

Oggi vi propongo un giro nel centro di Bressanone/Brixen,  località della regione Trentino Alto-Adige molto vicina al confine austriaco.  Più che sui prodotti in vendita,  mi soffermerò sulle vedute cittadine e altre amenità:  per prima piazza Duomo.SV400025SV400012SV400014SV400022SV400048

Le vie della cittadina vestite a festa certamente non lasciano indifferenti:  io spero sempre di regalare qualche momento di serenità,  pubblicando i miei post natalizi.SV400036SV400046

Sopra:  il calendario dell’Avvento alle finestre di un qualche palazzo imponente è un must,  replicato anche in Finlandia.

Sotto:  è un must anche il pranzo da Fink,  ristorante storico che si trova sotto i portici. SV400018SV400021

Visiting the Christmas markets is always a joy:  walking through and seeing the wonders on display,  tasting the locally produced sweets and smelling the aromas of cinnamon,  spiced teas or mulled wine wafting through the air is truly captivating.

Today I will share with you a stroll in the center of Bressanone/Brixen,  a town in the Italian Trentino Alto-Adige region,  very close to the Austrian border.  More than on the products on sale,  I will focus on the city views and other amenities:  first and foremost Piazza Duomo.

The festive decorations in the streets of the small town certainly don’t leave anyone indifferent:  I always hope to give a few moments of serenity by publishing my Christmas posts.

The Advent calendar in the windows of some impressive building is a must,  also replicated in Finland.

Lunch at Fink’s,  a  famous restaurant located under the arcades,  is also a must.

  4. Non possono sbagliare: tutto attorno a piazza Dante e piazza delle Erbe. Poi possono percorrere corso Portoni Borsari, sostare sul ponte della Vittoria per una foto col ponte di Castelvecchio al tramonto e ritrovarsi in piazza Bra’. Via Mazzini è la via dello shopping elegante invece. L’illuminazione di piazza Erbe è molto bella la sera.

  26. A beautiful collection of holiday market images!

    We lived in Germany for ten years and fell in love with the Christmas Markets. Wandering around the stalls in a city which has been around over 2,000 years, sipping mulled wine while it’s snowing – great memories.
