Durante una gita in montagna tempo fa,  Risto e io ci siamo imbattuti in queste tenere bellezze non lontano dal lago di Anterselva,  presso un agriturismo.

I Daini (Dama dama),  Kuusipeura in finnico,  sono presenti raramente in Finlandia,  poiche’ non sono animali autoctoni,  ma sono stati introdotti a fini venatori.  Sono riconoscibili anche per i palchi di corna, molto diversi da quelli dei cervi.

Fallow Deer at Anterselva.    

Risto and I met these lovely Fallow deer (Dama dama)  once during a trip in the Dolomites,  at Anterselva.  You can find rare Fallow deer in Finland too,  as they are not native,  but were carried here for hunting reasons.  You can easily distinguish them from deer,  also by the shape of their antlers.  They are called:  Kuusipeura.
