Essendo un’area protetta all’interno del Liesjärven kansallispuisto,  il lago di Liesjärvi offre esempi di vegetazione e di animali selvatici che non sempre si incontrano dovunque,  grazie alla tranquillita’ del luogo e al fatto che le foreste vengono lasciate invecchiare naturalmente.DSCN0203DSCN0205DSCN0207

In estate il lago e’ sempre ben frequentato:  la Sterna nidifica sulle rocce,  la Strolaga lancia il suo richiamo inconfondibile…DSCN9998DSCN9989DSCN0189DSCN0028

Cigni e Piro-piro sono fra i frequentatori abituali.

At Liesjärvi Lake  #1.

Being a protected area within the Liesjärven kansallispuisto National Park,   the lake offers examples of vegetation and wildlife  that are not easily met everywhere,   thanks to the tranquility of the place and the fact that the forests are left to age naturally.

In summer the lake is always well attended:   Terns nest on the rocks,   the Loons launch their unmistakable call…

Swans and Common sandpipers are among the regular visitors too.

  20. What a beautiful place! I just can imagine what beauty and thrill it must be to hear the call of the loon in this environnement.
    I heard the loon calling last week, when we were up in our cottage – and I was so glad to know that he is back.
