Una camminata serale lungo il lago di Liesjärvi,  nella municipalita’ di Tammela,  non lontano da Somero,  puo’ rivelarsi molto piacevole. Si tratta di un’area protetta,  ma vi e’ permesso il campeggio (in zone riservate),  la canoa e naturalmente i bagni nel lago.  Vi e’ permessa anche la pesca – la licenza si compra a parte.

La serata puo’ rivelarsi un successo per i birdwatchers che possono avvistare il Rantasipi  (Actitis hypoleucos),  in italiano:  Piro-piro Piccolo;   un simpatico uccello di media taglia che se ne sta appollaiato di preferenza sulle rocce sporgenti oppure vola radente all’acqua in cerca di cibo.

A fine giugno il sole inizia a tramontare verso le 23 e il tramonto puo’ esso stesso essere un successo;  specie se anche le nuvolette rosa e la falce di luna crescente decidono di specchiarsi nelle acque.

An Evening by the Lake.

An evening hike along lake Liesjärvi,  in the municipality of Tammela,  not far from Somero,  can turn out to be very pleasant.  It is a protected park but some activities are allowed,  such as camping (in reserved areas) or canoeing and of course bathing.  Even fishing is possible,  provided that you buy your own permission.

The evening can be a success for birdwatchers as they can easily view the Common Sandpiper (Actitis hypoleucos);  a nice wader who stands preferably on top of rocks or flies stiff-winged low over the water to look for food.  In Finnish it is called:  Rantasipi.

At 11.00 p.m. the sun is setting and the last sunbeams can produce memorable effects,  especially if the rosy clouds and the waxing crescent moon decide to mirror themselves in the water too.

  24. You capture the tranquility of the lakeside views so well. The colours of the sunset and the reflections in the water are beautiful. I like the first photo of the person in the boat and the ones of the sandpiper on the rock.
