Tra Italia e Finlandia

Buona domenica!

Cari lettori,  oggi ho pensato di condividere con voi questa canzone folk ucraina,  che canto col mio coro a Somero. 

La direttrice del coro e’ una giovane rifugiata ucraina,  insegnante di musica e canto,  che,  oltre alle altre canzoni finlandesi,  ci ha proposto per il prossimo concerto questa bella canzone,  che canteremo in lingua originale e a due voci.  Va detto che e’ una canzone molto dolce e facile.

Parla di un breve amore e di un’avventura a cavallo. Il titolo e’:  “Oj czyj to kiń stoit“.  Ho scelto una versione moderna con sottotitoli in inglese.

Dear readers, t oday I thought I’d share with you this Ukrainian folk song that I sing with my choir in Somero.

We sing Finnish songs,  of course,  but our choir’s director is a young Ukrainian refugee,  a music and singing teacher,  who suggested this beautiful song for our next concert,  which we’ll be singing in the original language and in harmony.  It must be said that it’s a very sweet and easy song.

It’s about a brief love affair and a horseback riding adventure.  Its title is:  “Oj czyj to kiń stoit“.  I’ve chosen a modern version with English subtitles.
