Un bruco rosso.

Buongiorno lettori!  Il post di oggi contiene un invito:  se qualcuno conosce questo bruco,  lo scriva nei commenti.

Ho visto questo coloratissimo bruco,  dotato di una sorta di “codina”,  sulla solita ciclabile che frequento in provincia di Verona e mi e’ stato simpatico,  al punto che l’ho fotografato e filmato,  poiche’ si muoveva lentamente sull’asfalto.

Non so dire con certezza a che farfalla appartenga.  In un sito francese ho trovato l’informazione che potrebbe essere della farfalla “Hyles euphorbiae”,  una farfalla del genere Sfingidi,  quindi non fra le piu’ appariscenti.

Vi propongo quindi solo cio’ che ho visto in un bel giorno d’estate durante una pedalata.

A Red Caterpillar.

I saw this colorful caterpillar (who had also a sort of “tail”),  on the usual cycle path I frequent near Verona (northern Italy) and I liked it,  so much so that I photographed and filmed it,  because it was moving slowly on the asphalt.

I can’t say for sure what butterfly it belongs to.  On a French website I found information that it could be the “Hyles euphorbiae” caterpillar.  This butterfly is a representative of the Sphingidae genus,  therefore not among the most showy.

I will therefore just propose what I saw on a beautiful summer day while cycling.
